Alone.
Eve was always alone. It was an unbearable feeling, really. It felt like drowning. No matter how much she needed air, she couldn’t get it. There was no one to ease the pain in her heart. Her father, as much as she loved speaking with him, didn’t understand a thing about her. Mikhail and Raphael were always bugging her about practicing her sword play and studying. Why and where she was being carried to was a mystery. The deity didn’t really care though. She felt safe and warm in the embrace. Her eyes squinted open a bit and looked into the man’s face. Her heart broke. If this was really happening, she would have surely been dead.
Anything Verloren touches dies.

They don't remember how it happened.
Whenever Eve used to think of love, she would think of Verloren and those flowers and the kor that would play with her. She would run away from her father for days on end to be with Verloren in his tiny cabin near the forest. He always acted as if he was annoyed but she knew he loved her coming by. He loved her as she had loved him.
Now when she thought of love, she thought of blue eyes and spiky blonde hair and that smirk that made her melt. There was no turning back for her. She fell as soon as she laid eyes on him.
